What is the Gospel and what is not the Gospel?
Those are the two questions we are seeking to make clear at American Gospel. At this event, we will be screening two segments from the film, American Gospel, that clearly articulate both the content and boundaries of the gospel message. After viewing these two segments, we will hear from a panel of local pastors and ministry leaders as they interact with the film clips and take questions from the audience.
We invite you to join us for this free event that will be held live and in-person at Faith Fellowship Church as well as by Zoom livestream. This will be a night of thoughtful conversation for Christians, seekers and skeptics from across our city as we consider the defining and core message of the Christian faith —the Gospel.
Meet the Panelists
David has been the pastor of Faith Fellowship Church Fort Bend since April 2019. He lives in Richmond with his wife and two sons.
A Houston-area church consultant and leader, Terrance has served 14 years as an Executive Pastor with two local churches. He is the CEO of the Excel Leadership Group.
Sam has served as Executive Director of Missions for San Felipe Baptist Association since 2015. He has pastored churches in Pennsylvania and Texas. Sam and his wife, Beth, have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
Justo has been the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Missouri City for 31 years. He is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and has a masters degree in Education and School Administration. Justo and wife, Ana, have been married for 39 years.
As Director of STCH Ministries, Darrell brings over 25 years of ministry experience to his position, serving previously as a pastor, professor, and consultant. Darrell and his wife Marsha live in Sugarland.

For American Gospel, our goal is to communicate the gospel clearly, especially on key points where the true gospel has been confused with moralism and prosperity movements so prevalent inside and outside the church. Through a collaborative approach with local pastors and ministry leaders as panelists, we are creating an experience that will not only sharpen the faith of those who attend, but also be an environment where seekers and skeptics can thoughtfully and safely consider the core message of the Christian faith.
