Staff and Leadership
Chris is the lead pastor of Faith Fellowship Church of Fort Bend. He loves God, loves people, and firmly believes that is the calling on all humanity. He wants people to know that the gospel of Jesus is truly good news and totally universe changing! His desire is to preach and teach the gospel and to go and make disciples of all nations individually and collectively.
After coming to faith, Chris realized the little black leather-bound book his college pastor handed him was going to be a big part of what he believed. Jesus was both real and experiential, and the God he had given his life to. Chris learned that Jesus was revealed most completely through the Bible. Jesus was at the center of that little book he had been gifted. Ever since Chris has fostered an ongoing obsession with reading the Bible and learning more about it, and the gracious, loving, forgiving Jesus at its core.
Chris felt the call to ministry in 2016. Since then, God has laid on his heart a burden for the local church and a passion to strengthen the Kingdom’s local collections of believers. Chris is married to Sarah with whom he chases two sons. This guy loves literary, philological, and textual criticism of Scripture (in that order), and he thinks reading Biblical Theology is fun. Essentially, he is a confessing Bible nerd!

Lauren Tsao - Worship Leader
Lauren is the worship leader at Faith Fellowship Church of Fort Bend. She is passionate about welcoming people into God’s presence through music. Lauren has been part of the worship team at FFC since she was in high school. She is so grateful to those who have gone before her and modeled that worship is not merely about singing songs but it is a response to God for who He is and what He has done. Lauren often draws insight from the psalms which provide a depth of worship experience. She gets excited about choosing songs that lift high the name of Jesus and proclaim the gospel. She also treasures the responsibility of choosing songs of response including confession and lament.
Lauren was a choir member in high school and college and is mostly self-taught on guitar and piano. Some of the modern worship leaders she looks up to include CityAlight, Sovereign Grace Music, Shane & Shane, and Jonathan Ogden. Her favorite worship song is “It is Well with My Soul.”
